A Navy Vet Needs Critical Home Repairs

Location:  South Minneapolis

Bill has lived in Minneapolis his entire life. He grew up in the Bohemian Flats on the West Bank of the Mississippi near the University of Minnesota Campus. While he doesn’t have much to say about it, he served in the Navy where he fought in ‘The War’ on an aircraft carrier. Since then he has worked as a social worker, a security guard and has even owned a local business.

The home he currently lives in has been in his family since his mother purchased it in 1951. He is an avid collector, a trait you can identify immediately when you walk into his home, as his walls are filled with a variety of images. Unfortunately, behind many of the images you find peeling wallpaper and water spots as many repairs to his home have caught up with him. He needs plumbing fixes and attic insulation to make sure his home is safe and secure in the golden years of his life.

Workscope:

– Fix kitchen and plumbing
– Insulate Attic
